Word to your MUDDers

Don't ask what inspired me. I guess I just wanted to do something for me this year, so in January I recruited some people to run the WORLD FAMOUS Camp Pendleton Mud Run.
I was asked "Why not an easy 5K Mud Run in Irvine, Fontana or Temecula? Why the 10K Camp Pendleton Mud run?"
I guess cause I believe it's Go big or Go home!
With my recruits Uncle Tom, Uncle Ryan, Antie Rae and Reanna we geared up for our mud run.

Our Philanthropist Uncle Tom got us some awesome sponsors who donated our shirts.
Thank you AVI Wraps and Anytime Fitness for your faith in us to wear your name and your support!

Here are the
"Word to your MUDDers"

Check out this link to the OC Register and it's comments about the event.

There were over 6,500 Runners on Saturday and Sunday's race was jammed packed also.
We bought time by taking pics all over the place. Memories being made.

I think that's Auntie Rae's hand up in Uncle Ryan's face.
In the far distance you can see one batch (the individuals) of runners starting. This is when I started to get nervous and think "what did I get us into?"

Being that this was a race about an hour away from home and our family was busy taking care of the kids we didn't expect to see anyone at the finish line, but to our surprise......

They were waiting for us to arrive....

We're in the far distance, in the mud puddle locking arms to cross the finish line.

Mum, Papa, Auntie Omi, K, J and Cousin L and M were waiting for us. It was such a great feeling to see our loved ones supporting us.
Sweet kisses for a muddy mommy
 A proud moment for me

 Discussing the event

Showers were definitely needed. Even if I stayed in my dirty clothes, this helped to alleviate some of the mud.

This sign was for our family who supported us
This was an experience I will never forget.
It's not every day you get to run, jump, crawl and fall in mud but Camp Pendleton gave me and my recruits the opportunity at just a small fee.
After 6.3 miles (going as high as 400 feet with fire hoses shooting down at us), two 5 foot walls, crawling through tubes and swimming in muddy water we finished.
My personal goal was to not only finish but to climb over the walls with no assistance, and I did it! (Thank God)
I'm looking forward to next year and expanding our team.

Thanks to all who supported me and my crazy idea of doing the
WORLD FAMOUS
Camp Pendleton Mud Run.
HooooRaaaah!

We did it!

And I got to check it off my bucket list!
