Busy, busy summer!

I was wondering if our summer would start to slow our schedule down, then I came to realize.....probably not. Here's just a glimpse of what we've been up to this week. And I mean glimpse cause it's literally flown by.

We visited Downtown Disney to meet my cousin from Northern California for lunch. Rainforest Cafe was the place of choice which makes it easy for my loud kids to be less noticeable. When you have boy's as wild as mine, then take them to the wild to be.....wild!
We arrived a bit early so we went to the Lego Store. Let's just say the boys were in HEAVEN!

J is in mid-blink, K is pledging the allegiance on my chest for me backwards and I'm the only one (as always) ready for the picture.

It was nice seeing our cousin after all these years!

And, we got to meet her adorable daughter.

Two adorable little bundles!

I also went to see the "Million Dollar Cortet" at the Pantageous in Hollywood with a good friend. We had dinner at the W Hotel before hand, which was delicious!

The show included tributes to: Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins. They did an amazing job. My absolute favorite was Johnny Cash, and I suggest the Pantageous theater lay out a dance floor if they're going to play such good music.

The next morning came all to soon. I was able to meet up with some of my favorite girlfriends for a Baby Shower lunch. The lunch was scrumptious, the cake was divine, but the company was the best!

It was so nice to laugh and chat with some beautiful women.

Beautiful and yummy homemade cake made by a good friend

Pool time with my parents dear friends came even quicker. The boy's had an absolute blast, and I'm sure the pictures show you just how fun it was.

This is the J.J.A Minnow. He would jump in, then surface and swim face down to the wall.

Me and my candid shots! I love snapping shots of my boy's when they don't know it.

Can you tell which kids movie we've been watching? Kung Fu Panda II

I am so in love with these little men.

It just wouldn't be right without a little silliness.

I love all the fun memories we made with all these fun activities, but I am one tired momma. I'm actually looking forward to vegging at home tomorrow while doing laundry, yes, I said laundry. Someone's gotta wash these clothes and I'm realizing, that someone is probably me.

Oh, and see how busy this week is? I forgot to mention. The boy's have VBS this week too and they're enjoying it

Better to Cry now

This was all to beautiful to keep to myself. I found it in the midst of packing and I hold it dear to my heart.

BETTER TO CRY NOW

It is better to cry now for your children.
Now, when they run and play without fewr.
Now, when they're asleep so dear.
Now, when your hands of prayer can mold from a heart so clear.

It is better to cry now, for your children.
A cry, loud and deep.
Let the inner man cry out.
Let HIM claim what belongs to HIM.

It is better to cry now, for your children.
Let the earth tremble with the cry of a Mother!
Proclaim their path and destiny "Children of the Most High!"
Let your tears be a testimony of the unseen world.

It is better to cry now for your children.
Now, when you dreams are born.
Now,  before they are all grown.
Now , water well, your seeds just sown.

It is better to cry now for you children.
No need to wait for pain to cry.
Don't let the days be years to cry.
Don't let the years dictate the reason why.

It is better to cry now for you children.
Establish now your steadfast strength.
Know good and well the slate is clear.
It's up to you to write all in, with pen of tears a heart so clear.

It is better to cry now for your children.
Now when dandelions are the gift of love.
Now, when hand prints are in their smallest size.
Now when unconditional love is your only sigh.

It is better to cry now for your children.
Don't wait to hear a reason why.
And wait for them, only to spy.
The time will come, and soon enough you'll call and say "O Lord Why"

It is better to cry now for your children.
Now is the time to set the pace.
Now is when ALL time will change.
You and HIM in one accord are due to fill the empty space.

If you don't do it something will.
If you don't do it someone will.
If you don't do it time will prove that love was ill.
And then you'll cry a bitter sound.

It is better to cry now for you children.

Goodbye Brant Court

How do you say goodbye to 5 1/2 years worth of friendships and memories?
Its very hard.
This was our first home, the only home J and K have ever known
14264 Brant Court

We met strangers who grew to be dear friends.
The years have literally slipped by.

And to say goodbye was just nearly impossible.

Last Night at Brant Court.
Last "boy"hang out as we packed the moving truck (I love how Garret put his hand on K)

One of my last morning devotions and coffee.
The last day picking up the mail and hearing J say "Mom, I got the mail and I'll walk home ok? Just go ahead!" (Of course I never do, I stay right next to him watching him walk home like a big boy)

My most fondest memory of them all is this picture. Seeing how through the years my little men grew not only in curiosity and in size, but have grown from babies in diapers to young boys.

With having closed one chapter, God's faithful to bring me to start another.
Our home for the next couple years is Mum and Papa's Casita (Casita probably isn't the right word to describe this mansion). The boy's and I get the east wing.
And yes, Cabo came too!

Cabo get's the back side. Noel's still getting used to the arrangements.

The boy's have already marked their territory with legos.

They are the most excited when they hear the garage door open knowing it's Papa coming home. The house is it's loudest at that time with screams of joy from the boy's and barks and squeals from Noel. Tonight the boy's played with their remote control cars in the street while Cabo barked the heck at them.
They rode their bikes.

School has been in effect even as we've settled in. The boy's have adapted well to our new classroom.
And the boy's got a chance to explore the black hole of stuff Mommy still has to sort through.
We get special snuggle times with Mum.
We get these cool bunk beds that make me more nervous.

Yet, in the end, God's allowed a new chapter of memories, friends, opportunity and blessings to unfold and I pray to embrace the changes He has for us.

Brant Court family you are not forgotten. I have loved getting to know all of you and I cherish the friendship we and our children have together. You all have been there for the greatest of memories, and well, the not so great too. We will hold you all dear to our hearts and hope to come visit, not as visitors but as veterans.
