JJ's Big day

Birthday week kept giving. JJ's birthday was celebrated on an abnormally chilly slightly sprinkly May day. We had a great turn out and real troopers to put up with the cold weather.

Last year I let K plan his 5th Bday party. Well I did the same this year with J, multiple times and the answer remained "house party with a jumper". He didn't specify a theme but after hours of pinteresting (which I will never complain about) I concluded a Lego theme was perfect! 

Thank you to the countless Momma's who posted their blogs and ideas on Pinterest. Its because of them that I was able to make this happen because I am truly not this creative.

 

 

 

It was great spending time with family and seeing old friends.

 

By far will be one of my favorite pics of J and Papa. I love their expressions when they are deep in conversation.

 All these kiddo's are special to my boys.

 

 And....they're supper silly.

 

Homemade piñata, yes. An empty diaper bag, spray paint and

12 lbs of candy. The kids loved it!

 

And the "groam ups" did too! Mum slightly cheated

 After 12 kids the piñata was still in stable condition with mild injuries, so we let J at it and he tore that puppy open.

 Sat-IS-fied couple boys. Saddened momma for the next dental visit.

 My little nephew Hunter made his way to the M&M jar and had a loot of candy (note mouth green and purple sucker?). He walked around saying "its pretty good", it made me smile!

 Thank you mom for your hard work and love put into what you call a "Charlie brown" cake. It was super yummy!

J's birthday wouldn't have been all it was without John's help. Thanks babe for all you do for us! For the cutting and pasting you helped me with to the jumper and the food. You sacrifice and work hard to not just make me smile, but to make the three of us smile. We are truly blessed to call you ours.

 

 

And the night ended as such. Four tired and sugared out kiddo's sitting around to read "cloudy with a chance of meatballs" book with John.

Another successful party with tons of help and love put into it.

Birthday Week is Here!

 

J and K's birthdays are just within six days of each other so last Thursday marked the start.

Family joined us at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor to celebrate SIX wonderful years of K.

This was after "If you don't smile you won't get to open any gifts smile". Much much better.

 

 

Couldn't Wouldn't be the same celebration without our loved ones there to celebrate with us.

 

I'm that mom that LOVES candid shots and I can NEVER get candid shots of my boys. They are to quick to frown at the camera before I can push the button  *click*. This is the best I could do.

Not even centered or truly candid I know.
