Our Family Easter 2015

"I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, Amen. And I have the keys of Hade and of Death." Revelation 1:18.
Resurrection Sunday started with 6am church service, the boys weren't too thrilled about waking up at 5am and followed by family fun. Breakfast with our family after church then an afternoon of more family fun.

Days before Easter I filled baskets only to be convicted that very little of what I had was Christ centered. So after a few errands the boys had; rainbow gold-fish-a reminder of God's promise and love, cookies-a reminder of God's love that is sweet, a sling shot toy-to remind to boys to always look up to God, and an activity book to remind them that He is Risen INDEED!

Family celebration time!

It was wonderful having Aunt Kelly join us this year.

This silly moment captured, not sure what they are giggling about.

Let the Resurrection Egg Hunt Begin!

They all made out pretty good evidenced by those smiles.

And we end with the kids passed out due to sugar coma.
Hope you all had a great Easter Sunday!

McGowan Family Shenanigans

I haven't blogged in ages and I'm not sure how soon I will be able to. Here's just a few pics of the recent shenanigans the Mac Family has been up to.
Dad and J doing their devotions in bed.

Cubscouts taught K how to knot a tie.

McGowans celebrate St. Patricks day, so I got a head start on some decor for the home. Crocheted clover garland. So quick and simple, made under two hours.
Last year, I forgot to get my husband a card for St Patricks day, this year I've already been reminded plenty.

Here are some more projects I've worked on since the New Year. Many friends were expecting this spring so I went hustling away with my needle and yarn.

The Granny stitch bug but me hard. All of these stitches are a granny stitch in one form or another. My last project, still pending completion, is the granny square quilt, it's taking a bit longer than anticipated.

Family/Homeschool Legoland Day with our SWEETon family.

My God is greater than just great. He's superb at putting some simple reminders in the sky to say that He loves me.

The incredible hubby bought me a new lense for Valentines day. Which means a day at the park with my boys and getting some practice with my new lens. These men!!! They won't be this small for long and I won't ever get to recapture these moments.

Homeschool fun.

I found a great new science curriculum that I LOVE!! It's interactive, which makes learning all the more fun! I highly recommend it for any homeschooling Momma's or fun parents that would like to encourage science learning with their kids.

Soccer season just started for our boys and today was their first game.  They both did terrific! John and I are very proud parents

What happened to the good'ol days when my boys would smile cheesy and promptly over when their mom said to look at the camera? I think 6 & 7 year old bug bit them. And sadly, in less than 2 months they will turn one age older.  (Sad momma).
