Cabo and then Cabo

May has to be and have been the busiest of months for us.
Both the boy's birthday's, about 30 other birthdays in our family, Mothers day and our vacation to Cabo.
Fortunately, due to the wonderful blessing of my parents the boy's and I were able to squeeze in a vacation. Cabo San Lucas Mexico met the Aderholds for the second time.

With plenty of luggage in tow we headed to Mexico!

Plane rides are always stressful, I mean fun with children. Especially with a complaining older lady in the front of their seats. But we made it work. The boy's actually napped most of the way there, they were real troopers.

Ok, I really took my camera out and took a picture of this. I love seeing my mom try and direct us, her traffic crew.

And to our resort we went via our private car.

This was our resort. This picture doesn't do it's beauty justice but it shows you how large it is. We did a whole lot of swimming, relaxing, eating and drinking. We had a fabulous time!

Swimming lessons have made the boy's so comfortable in the water, I loved it, or so....they loved it.
The beach was beautiful clean sand and a blue sea. We didn't swim but we played in the sand with friends.

Dinner and sitting by the fire. Believe it or not, the first 3 days were cool, warm by day but cold by night. The fire was cozy.

Coffee in the mornings, walks to the pool then swim, swim, swim!

And all tuckered out by night. Poor J fell off the bed night #3, just a nice bruise, no major damage.

I love seeing my son's have fun!

Yes, K's purple he's so tan.

Napping pool side.

We headed into town on day #5 to get some souvenirs for our family. And as always, mom ended up buying more than anticipated.

Walking with Papa.

K chose to buy this slingshot as his souvenir and he's testing it out in the store with his invisible rock.

Super hero's with orange hats followed us out of the country to Cabo! Note their stance.

Mom and I had spa time.

Dad and the boy's had boy time.
We would have lost all our vacation weight if we didn't have these nifty golf carts to crate us around. This day I nearly lost my hat. My poor Mai Tai suffered the loss by getting poured out in efforts to catch my hat.

Anyone seen my sons? I only see two little native boys.

In case you're wondering thats a bloody Mary mom's cheering with. J/k.

This goes to show you there were some little parts of us that weren't so influenced by the sun.

At least his tongue was still pink.

K discovered the fun in drink making in Cabo. K made a number of what he called "smoothies" for us. It's ingredients: Apple juice, lemonade and water. He passed them all around.

This was truly a vacation. This is all we did. And who needs the ocean on one side and a cool pool on the other when we got an iPad with Netflix on our laps?

And if you can't find us, well we can't either except at the guide of our teeth. This is what happens when you're already brown and you go and hang out by the pool for one whole week.

The three Aderholds were overdue for a vacation and this hit the spot! Thanks to Mum and Papa for not only taking us but tolerating us and our unique personalities. We had a blast!

I entitled this post "Cabo and then Cabo" because we didn't leave Cabo completely and let me explain. To our surprise this sweet little German Shepherd was wondering the hills by Mum and Papa's for the week that we were gone with random neighbors feeding her. The boy's an I decided to take her in as part of the Aderholds the day after we got back from vacation.

We found out she's about a year old, 60 lbs and almost loves us as much as we love her. She's a great addition to the crew. I thought she and the boy's would tire each other out but so far I'm the only one that's tired. She's still a pup but I'm seeing growth in just the few day's that we've had her. She loves to jump, play and eat. The boy's wanted to name her Kaitlin (Why? I have NO clue!), but we agreed to call her Cabo which fit's her just right. She already knows her name.

All in all, Cabo wasn't just a place we vacationed at, it's a little bit of rambunctious love that's with us for good.
